Ax woke up not feeling well this morning. He was all stopped up and gagging around. I figured it was just allergies and drainage. He's always had drainage problems. Come to think of it, all of us do. I think we must live in a bad allergy area or something. Anyway, I was wrong, he's really sick. He's been vomiting and tonight I think he's running a fever. Looks like we have now been bombarded by the stomach virus. That is NOT what we need right now.
Since I thought he just had allergy issues, I took him to my Mom's today to stay with her and dad for awhile. They kept him and Little Lee for us. We took Sis and her friend Brooke riding. The two little neighbor boys tagged along with us. We can ride in the winter because our side by side has a heater plus we have it covered in plastic so no wind gets in. It's actually pretty warm. The ride was beautiful today and we covered lots of ground. We found some new trails to ride on so that is always fun! I can't wait till summer, riding is always such a good time in the summer. I took along a package of Ham & Cheese, a loaf of Bread and some Chips so we could have lunch. I'm glad I did because we ended up riding about 5 hours total. We would have really gotten hungry.
We got home this evening around 5:30. I changed my shoes out and then Hubby, Anika & I ran Brooke home. We also went to Mom's to get the Little One's. It was obvious as soon as I seen Ax that he was very sick. Mommy had taken real good care of him though.
We stopped by the store on the way home tonight and I grabbed us some stuff to make Sloppy Joe's and French Fries. When I got home, I cooked so Hubby could eat and go to bed. He starts his new location at work tomorrow so he's kind of dreading it. Ax has slept pretty much all evening long. I did wake him a bit ago and give him some Motrin. He wasn't happy about that. Little Lee played for awhile tonight but now she's out too. I figure she will be waking soon for a bottle. Anika spent her evening getting a shower, washing her hair and cleaning her room. Her mood has been up and down today. She went to bed about 10 tonight so hopefully she will get some rest. I've spent my time listing items on Ebay and playing on Facebook. I'm hoping to get in an hour or so of Blog Reading tonight before I turn in.
Mommy called a bit ago and said that Ax definitely had a virus. She is sick throwing up now. Bless her heart. I'm just waiting my turn.
Tomorrow I've got a few phone calls to make first thing in the morning and then those calls will determine how my day goes. I'm hoping for good news :)
Before I go I wanted to show you a pic of the shirt my Sister in Law made for Axle. Tuesday is a Dr. Seuss party at Story Time at the library so she made Axle and her daughter Violet matching outfits. Aren't they precious?
See, told you I couldn't complain. Minus a sick little boy, it's been a pretty good day. Let's just hope the upcoming week follows course!

ReplyDeleteUgh I hate hearing when the little ones are sick. You feel so bad for their little bodies and like you said that oh no realization of when and how bad will I get it too.
