Too Tired to Type

I am so tired tonight friends. It is only 8:00 and I swear it feels like it's midnight. I have no idea what my problem is, maybe it's this ridiculously cold weather. Either way, I feel an early bedtime coming on tonight!

It's been a pretty decent day around here today. I woke around 9:00 this morning which was earlier than I would have liked BUT Anika had an Orthodontist appointment & of course, I had to take her. Apparently that is part of the job description of a Mommy. I took a quick shower this morning but could not make myself wash my hair. It was just too chilly this morning for wet hair even in the house. I got the girls up this morning & they got ready while I was getting ready. Torie spent the night again last night (3 nights in a row) and she went to Anika's appointment with us this morning. Luckily, I didn't have to drag the little two out. Hubby worked 2nd shift last night so he got up with them this morning & kept them home. I was glad, it was too cold for them.

Anika's Orthodontist appointment was at 10:30. It takes us about a 1/2 hour to get there and then they spend about a 1/2 hour with her so all in all it's a very short trip. Today they tightened the chains on her teeth back up. She has had quite a bit of pain with the chains. While she was getting her teeth worked on, I browsed around the Salvation Army that is right next door. I found a few goodies for myself. I got a whole set of glasses for the house. We have NO glasses around here, I really do not know where they disappear to. I just know that last night when Hubby asked for a LARGE glass of ice water, I served it to him in a Mason Jar. Yes, we are that glass poor. I also got Axle a pair of Jeans & a cute Polo Shirt. The boy needs some nicer clothes for Church and stuff. He has a ton of play clothes but very few nice outfits. I found Annalee a penguin that makes noise when you touch it. There is one just like it at Mom's but for $3.00 I figured it was worth buying another for here. It's the only thing your not going to see a pic of because I left it in the trunk and still haven't went out to get it. I got me a new top that is really cute, I'll be able to wear it with leggings too which is a plus. I also got a brown cardigan. I needed it, I didn't have a chocolate brown one. Everything cost $12.00 so that was a pretty good deal if you ask me.

We got home from the Orthodontist around Noon. I had to make a stop by Advanced before coming home. My engine light came on and wouldn't go off so I had them put a computer on it to see what the problem was. Apparently Cylinder 6 isn't firing whatever that means. I told Hubby and he said he would check it. Thank goodness he's mechanically inclined or I'd be in big trouble! When I got home Hubby had the Curly Fries already in the oven & the Hamburger meat already cooked for Sloppy Joe's. I finished throwing them together and we ate. I was VERY thankful he had it pretty much done for me. He's a good guy like that from time to time.

The girls ended up coming home with me. I let them sucker me out of not having to go to school. I swear I'm a terrible Mother when it comes to that. They went to the Garage and that is where they pretty much stayed till Torie's Mom came and got her this evening. I have no idea why the kids like to hang out in the Garage but they do. The Little One's & I hung out in the house. Ax pretty much occupied himself and Annalee slept so I took advantage and browsed possible vacation plans. Yes, I'm already looking forward to vacation in July! I should have been doing a million other things but I just didn't feel like it.

This evening I straightened up the house a bit. I did manage to get another load of laundry done but that was about it. We had sandwiches from the pizza place & have pretty much sat around and done nothing. Can I just tell you that it sure has been nice. Sometimes I enjoy just doing nothing!

Before I go, I wanted to share a couple pics with you. I told you yesterday that I had pics of Annalee playing on her Spring Horse but Hubby had my camera so I couldn't show them to you. Well believe it or not, I remembered today so here they are.

Oh and just so you know, I do have proof that Hubby really had my camera yesterday. I wasn't just telling you that. Apparently, he got bored while underground and decided to take a few photos. For anyone who hasn't ever seen what an underground coal mine looks like, here you go.

Well friends, I really have to lay down. I just can't take it one more second. I'm going to rent a movie but I'm not sure I'll make it through it all. I'm going to try though.

Tomorrow I'll probably be late posting. Anika has a Tournament Game to cheer at tomorrow night so that is where we will be. If we win, we cheer Thursday but if we don't, I guess that is it for the season. I won't tell you that I'm hoping we don't win. Shhh, I didn't say that!

Have a good night Friends!
Angie

  3. Dang you are buuuuusy!

    You are quite the shopper.

I'd be scared to be in the coal mine, it's dark down there.

  6. Angie, it's been awhile since I've visited your blog. Annalee is so darling and has gotten so big! I've read through a few of your posts, and it sounds as if you have come to a fork in the road in your life. The Revival has gotten you thinking. Keep praying and reading the Bible. You will get the wisdom and direction you need from Heavenly Father.

    Hugs to you sweet girl,

    Susan
