Just Chilling at Home

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I woke up this morning to the sun shining so brightly. I think that is an indication that it's going to be a good day. How about you all? How has your Saturday started?

I just wanted to drop in real quick this morning before I actually got up and at it & tell you all about my Friday. Really, it was quite a lazy day around the house so there isn't a whole lot to tell.

Axle wouldn't go to bed Thursday night so I ended up having to get up with him at 3:30 Friday morning. He finally crashed at a little after 4:00 but by that time I was already wide awake and couldn't go back to sleep. I'm telling you, he really has his days and nights mixed up bad. I spent some time online on Facebook, I pinned my life away on Pinterest, I typed up my Blog Post and I read all kinds of your blogs. I even found a few new ones to follow. I also did something I've never done before, I started reading on the Bible.

Don't get me wrong, I grew up in a Christian household so lots of times through my Youth I read passages here and there in Sunday School & such but I've never actually started at the beginning and read. I wanted to make sure I was not only just reading but also understanding so I found an online study that I'm using to help me. Yesterday morning I got through the first 5 Chapters of Genesis and I really enjoyed it. It will take me forever at the rate I'm going but I at least hope to dedicate an hour per day through the week to just studying and reading. Last night I prayed that the Lord help me understand and I feel confident that he will.

After my reading I laid down with Annalee on the couch for a bit and by the time we woke it was well after 11:00 am. I got up and fixed some breakfast for the kids & cleaned up the kitchen. I started some laundry & did some other miscellaneous chores. The rest of my day was spent pretty much lounging around the house, tending to the kids and so forth. We never left the house the first time and I must admit, it was nice.

Hubby got home around 4:00 yesterday evening. He took Ax out to the garage with him for a bit. Mom came down and picked up Anika so she could spend the night with her so that just left me and Annalee hanging around the house. I made up a pot of Chili & some Cornbread and we had supper. Everyone bragged on how good the Chili was. I sent the leftovers out to our renter. Hubby & Ax went back out to the garage for a bit after dinner and I cleaned up the kitchen once again. I was craving Peanut Butter Cookies so I made up a batch of them. while the boys were tinkering.

Last night the Hubby & I watched a movie after the kids went to sleep. Needless to say about 1/2 way through the movie Ax woke and wouldn't go back to bed. We did get to finish the movie though. We watched American Reunion. Have you all seen it?

It was cute but I assumed it would be as the other ones were. My Hubby laughed and laughed! It's not often that we watch movies so it was a nice change of pace. It was after midnight when we finally finished up the movie and Hubby went on to bed. He was so tired from where he had worked all day. I fixed myself a sandwich and then rocked Annalle to sleep while Ax watched Chuggington. I think it was well after 1:00 before I finally got him in bed. I got a few hours sleep before Lee got up for a bottle at 3:00 but then after that feeding they both slept well till this morning. It's no wonder I stay tired!

Plans for today are minimal. SJ and Axle are getting ready to haul in a load of scrap metal and run some errands. I'm going to get Miss Annalee up and let her try out the bouncy horse today while Axle is gone. I'm going to fix a big kettle of Pinto Beans for supper and then who knows what else we will get into.

Hope you all have a Blessed Saturday my friends!!
Angie
