Pretty Laid Back Saturday

Hey Blog Friends, how are you all tonight? Doing well I hope. Things are here in my part of the world. It's been a cold day & now we have drizzle moving in. They are saying we might get some snow tonight but it's just going to be a dusting if anything. My bet is that we won't get a single flake and that it will all be in the form of rain. Oh well, I still have a few months of winter left to hope for the "big one".

I don't have a whole lot of interesting stuff to share today but I'll give you what I got. Here is a look into my Friday!

Today: December 28, 2012

Outside My Window: It is cold and rainy- I want SNOW not RAIN! Get it right Mother Nature

I Am Thinking: That my daughter is obsessed with music. The child plays music all day long everyday. I think it's kind of a relaxation technique for her or something. At least I like most of the songs I'm forced to listen to.

I Am Thankful: That I'm able to be a Stay at Home Mom. It's not all roses and rainbows but I love being able to be home to take care of my family. It's truly a blessing for me.

In The Kitchen: You will find a massive amount of clean laundry stacked on my table. Seriously, it's a mountain of laundry. I should put it away but it's just not going to happen tonight. Maybe I'll get to it tomorrow.

I Am Wearing: A pair of Track Pants I scored at the Thrift Store the other day and one of my Hubby's long sleeved tees. It's definitely a comfortable kinda clothes day for me.

I Am Creating: A list of things that I need for our New Years Eve Bonfire. I worked on a menu earlier today and although I've not finished it, I've at least started it. I'm running out of time though so I got to get my butt in gear

I Am Going: To have to buy another Bean Bag Chair. Annalee is really liking Anika's. I started to buy her a Boppy Pillow for Christmas and didn't. I'm glad I didn't now. I'm going to buy a bean bag chair instead. It serves the same purpose & she will be able to use it for a long time to come.

I Am Wondering: Just how much trouble these two boys are going to give us when they are older. This is Ax and his buddy (our neighbor) Kaiden. Hubby took Anika 4-wheeling today for awhile when he got home from work so after they got back he took Ax next door so him and Kade could do some riding too. They are too cute but boy are they going to be a handful in a few years!

I Am Reading: As many blogs as possible each day. My Hubby has been off work A LOT lately and so blog reading has had to take a back burner. This makes me sad. I miss my personal quiet time with my blogs. Hopefully after the 1st of the year things will get back to some sort of normal with our schedules.

I Am Hoping: That my kids stay close throughout their lives. Anika is so good with the little ones and has such a special bond with them. I hope that doesn't change.

I Am Looking Forward To: Spending some alone time with the Hubby tomorrow night. I've already got a sitter lined up and can't wait to get some one on one time with him. It's always nice for us to get a few hours away to ourselves.

I Am Learning: That somethings my Husband is just better at than me. Watching Axle ride his motorcycle is one of those things. I panic every single time. The last few times I've snapped a few pics and came in. I can't stand to sit by and watch. I think I make Ax nervous too.

Around The House: It's been a pretty easy going day. Hubby worked this morning while the kids and I lounged. I made breakfast (sausage, eggs & biscuits) but no one ate but me. I have no idea why I even bothered. I did some light housework & lots of laundry through about midday. Hubby got off work early and eAnnalee napped for a bit while they were gone so I showered and worked on cleaning my mattress on my bed. When Hubby got home he took Ax to the neighbors to play while I fixed us some dinner. We had Grilled Chicken, Mustard Greens, Seasoned Cabbage and Egg Noodles with Biscuits. It was quite yummy. Hubby's Buddy stopped by tonight and they did some trading. He traded his truck for a Rav 4. Don't ask because I never understand his thoughts behind trading. He's been in the garage tinkering with his new toy since. I cleaned up the kitchen and sat down in front of the computer which is where I still am. Annalee is sleeping on the couch, Ax is asleep in Anika's bed & Anika is in her room listening to music. I'd say it's been a good day :)

I Am Pondering: On if I want to walk to the garage and have a few drinks while Hubby works or not. I really need to make a store list and blog but I really am craving a cold White Russian!

One Of My Favorite Things: Axle in his new boxers! Seriously it is the cutest thing ever. He got boxers for Christmas and I love them on him.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Well it's the weekend so Tomorrow I'll be doing housework, making lists for our New Years shindig and then tomorrow night Hubby and I will be spending some alone time. Not sure what we will do Sunday yet. I do know that at some point I MUST go buy fireworks!!!
